Offline may come to the PC. Sony Interactive Entertainment - the PlayStation arm - revealed in Investment Day that it plans to bring the Uncharted franchise to PC players, starting with Unchched 4: A Thief's End. The news deserves Sony's increasing focus on bringing its PlayStation Studios titles to computers later in the PlayStation consoles, following the release of Horizon Zero Dawn and the upcoming launch of Days Gone also featured in the aforementioned presentation.

Interestingly, the launch of Sony [PDF, page 26] also calls India as one of the new targeted markets for the PlayStation off-console expansion. India continues to be the home of PC players first, and this is actually Sony’s acknowledgment that it plans to focus on growing the PlayStation fan market in that PC area. At the same time, it is very different from the way India has been treated when it comes to SonyStation 5. The new Sony flagship.

As for the uninstalled PC for PC, there is speculation that Sony will start with the final key installation in the popular franchise. Yes, PC players who have never tried an uninstalled game and unwanted fans who want an improved experience - Unchched 4: The End of Thieves is five years old now - might be tempted to try it, but you'd think Sony would start with the original title. Or maybe it's just a matter of being too busy. After all, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is 14 years old, and bringing it to PCs will represent a much bigger challenge than installing a theme from 2016.

We will probably hear more about this in the Sony E3 2021 launch in June.
